Cult Classic is a publication dedicated to highlighting underground creative communities across the world. From brand identity, editorial strategy and release parties to photoshoots, interviews and distribution, I helped run a small team to get the publication off the ground and have watched it grow to 10k followers in its first year. In issue two, we wanted to explore the fringe communities of Chicago’s creative class. After discovering Oscar Chaves online, we provided them with a classic Samba to style and reimagine. Art and photo direction with Oscar in their Chicago studio.
